Help us preserve Boone County History

Volunteers perform a broad range of duties across our museums. From greeting and assisting visitors at public programs and events to database maintenance and/or assistance in exhibitions, volunteers work along-side and in support of staff to further the mission of preserving Boone County history for everyone.

Each volunteer opportunity is different – with its own unique set of responsibilities and therefore requiring its own unique mix of relevant skills and experience. No previous experience is required, though prospective volunteers should be enthusiastic, flexible, and willing to learn new things.

We work with each valued volunteer to select a project and a schedule that works best for them. To learn more about volunteering stop by during operating hours, or call to chat with the Director to find out about how you can make a difference!
